Below are a few common questions in regards to CIMTechnology joining forces with CAMWorks.
Was CIMWorks/CIMTechnology purchased by CAMWorks/HCL?
No. CIMTechnology has entered into an exclusive partnership with CAMWorks.

Will CIMWorks lose any of it's functionality by becoming CAMWorks WireEDM?
No. If anything, it will become more powerful! Users will be able to seamlessly transition from Milling/Lathe operations over to WireEDM and vise versa.

What if I currently have CIMWorks/CAMWorks? Will I need to purchase again?
Customers of either versions of the different software will be able to upgrade to the new CAMWorks WireEDM in the same manner they would have upgraded to a newer version previously. For individually cases, we recommend contacting your reseller/distributor.

Will I need to purchase new post processors?
Current customers will have existing post processors updated to current versions as well. New or additional post processors can also be purchased through your reseller/distributor.

How different will the new software look/feel?
The new CAMWorks WireEDM will be nearly identical in design to the current version of CIMWorks. For CAMWorks users, there will be some changes, but overall many of the dialog windows and options will be very familiar.

When will this new system be available?
As of now, we are expecting the new CAMWorks WireEDM to be available for order around September 2020, with further releases over the course of the next year.
